Samsung Galaxy Tab Review
Does the Galaxy Tab work well? |
Samsung Galaxy Tab - A Head Turing New Tablet Device Which Offers The Full Package
Since the release of the Apple iPad, several manufacturers have concentrated their efforts on developing rival tablet devices. One of these is Samsung, who has recently released the Samsung Galaxy Tab.
This sleek and stylish looking device is somewhat smaller than Apple's rival device at 190.1x 120.5x 12 mm which is ideally sized for portability whilst still being able to take advantage of the large 7 inch TFT capacitive touchscreen. This is great for viewing photos and videos as well as gaming and using the user interface in general. This is due to a pixel configuration of 600x 1024 which is able to display up to 16million dazzling and clear colours. The highly customisable and intuitive TouchWiz UI is installed as Samsung's custom Android interface.
In order to view and operate the screen in both portrait and landscape modes, there is a built-in accelerometer sensor which automatically senses the angle at which the unit is held, and built as the contents of the screen accordingly. Another innovative feature called Swype is also included. This is installed on several of the manufacturers' previous mobile phones and operates in conjunction with the onscreen QWERTY keyboard. It allows users to slide their finger from one key to the next without having to take their finger off the screen, in the manufacturers claim this can offer a 30% improvement to text entry speeds.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab also operates as a standalone mobile phone, unlike the Apple iPad. This relies on both EDGE & GPRS to keep it connected to the appropriate cellular networks, whereas access to the Internet relies on both 3G and Wi-Fi where available. Both of these options allow for great browsing experience, which is enhanced by Adobe Flash 10.1 support which allows users to take advantage of multimedia elements of websites such as games and videos. The full package of Google features is included to do this running the Android 2.2 Froyo OS. Additional connectivity features include Bluetooth and micro USB as well as GPS with A-GPS support which allows location based functions to operate.
Another advantage that the Samsung Galaxy Tab has over its iPad rival is a 3.15 mega pixel digital camera with Autofocus and LED flash. This also doubles up as a video camera offering an alternative to taking still images. There is a second camera located on the front of the device which operates at 1.3 mega pixels and can be used for video calling or as a webcam.
There are 16 GB and 32 GB models available, meaning each one can potentially store thousands of files and various formats, the their media files or documents thanks to the included media player and Thinkfree Office compatibility (which supports MS Office documents). Users also have the option to utilise the integrated microSD card slot which can accommodate a memory card of up to 32 GB, allowing him further storage can be attained.
With features such as the impressive touch screen, full HD video playback, advanced Internet browsing and productivity tools and powerful 1 GHz processor being the tip of the iceberg, it is clear to see the Samsung Galaxy Tab becoming very popular indeed.

MyoFusion Muscle Building Supplement
There's a lot of talk going around these days about MyoFusion, a new muscle-building supplement from Gaspari Nutrition, one of the most popular supplement companies in the US. It's supposed to be the highest-quality protein supplement currently available on the market. Since I've been trying to losing weight and gain lean muscle I'm very interested in MyoFusion. Here's a nice review I just found on the product:
Myofusion - A Honest And Concise Review
The supplement I am going to be reviewing today is Myofusion by Gaspari Nutrition.
Myofusion is a very well known protein in the bodybuilding community. Visit any bodybuilding site or store and it's almost always in the top 10 of best selling items on the site. With such high and mighty sales, I just had to see what the hype was all about. I ordered a 2lb tub of myofusion milk chocolate from bodybuilding.com and used it for about 3 weeks.
Ingredients and Price
As soon as you glance through the nutritional facts label, you can quickly see that myofusion has a very impressive ingredient profile. It has 25g's of protein per scoop with only 3g's of fat and 2g's of sugar. In addition to its great looking macronutrient content, myofusion also has very impressive formulation. Myofusion uses three very effective and different types of protein in it's formula. It contains a combination of milk protein, egg protein and whey protein all in one. With a powerful combo like this, your body will have a consistent flow of protein to supply to your muscles through the day. This is because milk protein(casein) takes up to 12 hours to be fully absorbed by your body, whey protein takes about 30mins-1hour and egg protein is right about in the middle. With such a consistent flow of protein, your muscles will always have a ready supply of amino acids for maximal muscle growth. The only complaint I have about the ingredients is the choice of artificial sweetener but it's not a big deal.
Ingredients: 9/10
The pricing for myfusion is good and bad depending on where you buy it. As you can see in the little box above the page, the prices vary a lot from one store to another. Bodybuilding.com has a very good deal now where if you buy a 5lb tub of myofusion they also give you a 280g tub of super pump 250 (pre workout supplement). Outside of smart shopping and special deals, If I had to just look at the standard price alone, I'd still say it was very well priced.
Price: 7.5/10
Taste and Mixability
Depending if I am on a bulking or cutting stage, I will mix my protein with either water or milk. When I was using myofusion I was on a bulking stage, so I drank it with milk 95% of the time. With milk, myofusion seemed to have a bit trouble mixing. I noticed that there were small clumps of protein stuck to my cup and a few floating around my drink even after I throughly stirred it with a spoon. The few times that I drank it with water, I felt it mixed easier then it did with milk.
Mixability: 6/10
Although the mixability was a minor nuisance, the taste made up for it big time. Out of all the proteins that I have used over the years, myofusion has been the absolute best tasting. With milk, myofusion milk chocolate tasted exactly like nesquik and with water it was just as good. I found that staying away from sweets was so much easier with this protein because the taste of myofusion seriously satisfies your cravings without all the dirty calories.
Taste: 10/10
Conclusion
Without a doubt I would recommend anyone who is serious about bodybuilding or any other muscle driven sport to try this protein. It has a great ingredient profile with a fair price and a taste that is absolutely fantastic. The nuisance of sub par mixablility is very minor and in my opinion should not hold you back from trying it out.
Overall: 9/10

"The Tourist" Review
Here's something we haven't yet done: a movie review... in this case for the movie "The Tourist". First off, let me just say that I was very disappointed that one of the best actors in the world, Johnny Depp, would accept a role opposite what I consider to be a "B-level" actress: Angelina Jolie. He must have really liked the script/story I guess!
In "The Tourist" Jolie is as beautiful as ever, and as boring as ever. But the cat-and-mouse romantic "suspense" story is really pretty bad and the acting isn't much better. In fact I would say definitely wait to buy the DVD... and then only if it costs $7 or less. It's obvious that the director tried to copy Alfred Hitchcock's style but he really didn't even come close to doing so. The movie is full of luxurious glamour, clever twists, and a good about of dry humor but in the end it fails to provide much entertainment at all.
So there's my review of The Tourist. I'd give it 1 and a half stars out of 5!

TRX Suspension Trainer
In my quest to burn fat, lose weight, build muscle, and get fit (fast) I've learned one important thing: having to go to gym really sucks. Actually, it's fun but when you don't have time (which is usually my case) it can turn into a big pain in the but. One home workout option I've found that provides as good, if not better, results as a typical gym workout i the TRX Suspension Trainer. I don't have my own yet but I was lucky enough to use my friends for the past couple of weeks. Overall it seems like a very good product. I love taking it to my local park, hooking it up to a tree, and banging out reps and sets of push-ups, pull-ups, rows, and ab leg raises. Here's a good review I just found on the TRX Trainer:
TRX Suspension Trainer Review - Is It Worth the Money?
For anybody who is contemplating checking out or interested in a TRX suspension trainer review, then you'll want to take a minute to go through every single word in this review.
In this article, you will uncover why suspension work outs are likely to be the strategy to start one's entire body growing. Even though you have not gone through a bodybuilding plateau this type of training can help you avoid one.
Let's be practical; the most important challenge with physical exercise is the fact that they are usually repetitious and extremely monotonous.
However, it is the repeating of the training regularly which makes the muscles develop. Even so, the workouts are merely suspension exercise that many people consider a very exciting fitness phenomenon.
This type of work out can help you add variety to your exercise program. Furthermore, because of the fact that utilizes "circuit training" as one of its training protocols it can also assist you in melting away body fat without having to spend endless hours performing cardiovascular exercise.
One of the main advantages of this type of training is that allows you to target several of the larger muscle groups simultaneously. As a result, you don't need to spend as much time working out with the TRX suspension system as you would with free weights or other types of exercise equipment.
Now, let's get into more detail about the creation of this product in this TRX suspension trainer review.
The product itself was created by Randy Hetrick. A former Navy seal that along with many of his comrades found it very difficult to exercise while deployed in the field. Whenever they attempted to workout they faced many different challenges. The biggest challenge was that they did not have a great deal of exercise equipment and of course, there always wasn't a great deal of room to workout.
Perhaps you can imagine how difficult it must be to try to exercise on board a ship or a submarine. On the other hand, lugging around a Smith machine, Total Gym or even a Bowflex just doesn't work. Consequently, they all put their heads together and created an exercise device that was made from the webbing of their parachutes. This allowed them to perform bodyweight exercises, at many different angles. This permitted them to stay in shape and develop their core muscles.
However, if you're not that familiar with the TRX suspension workout, let me tell you that it's essentially a workout device that uses your body's weight as the resistance. There's no need for plates, resistance bands, or power rods.
Since its initial creation it has been continuously improved upon.
Today, the suspension cords have grips attached to make it easier to workout. Furthermore, they are designed so that you can easily attach them to a wall, fence or even a tree. Currently there are hundreds of different workout routines that you can employ with the TRX training program. Many of the brand name gyms offer TRX training to their members. It has become that popular because it does create results.
Keep some of these tips in mind as you continue to uncover additional TRX suspension trainer reviews.

HTC Desire Z Android Phone Review
I'm in that mode I get into sometimes when I see a new cell phone I want to buy. The culprit this time is the new HTC Desire Z. It looks like a very, very cool Google Android phone and I think I'm gonna get it. Here's a review I just found for the new HTC phone:
A Review Of The HTC Desire Z
An Android smartphone with a physical keypad is a rare creature, with the Milestone 2 from Motorola being regarded as the best possible example of such a phone. Now HTC have released the Desire Z, a phone looking to steal the glory away from the previously unrivalled Motorola.
The HTC Desire Z incorporates a very high quality screen that will be the envy of many of its rivals. Unlike the Desire HD, a phone which has stolen much of this models thunder, the Z features a 3.7 inch display, slightly smaller than the HD but with added benefits when it comes to elements such as battery life. The screen is a capacitive touchscreen, always welecomed thanks to the superb responsiveness that they offer. Should you feel the need, HTC also have fitted an optical trackpad beneath the screen. This is alternative is a great option if you ever require a little more precision than what the screen offers. At 480 x 800 pixels, the resolution is great, and add in to this equation the capability of displaying 16 million colours and the result is a screen that is not only crystal clear, but also vivid and colourful. Despite opting away from AMOLED technology on this occasion, HTC have really got the best out of S LCD, and you will be hard pressed to find many screens that can rival this one. The phone does measure up a little on the large side at 119 x 60.4 x 14.2mm, but anybody opting for a phone with a physical keypad should be well prepared for the inevitable increase in size. At 180 grammes in weight, the phone is one of the heaviest available, but never does this model feel to overweight or uncomfortable, all it does is merely adds to the robust and quality feel of the model.
The HTC Desire Z features the usual array of ports for connection to other devices. A 3.5mm headphone jack is alway pleasing as it really does open up a massive choice of headphones that can be used with this model. The fact that the Desire Z also boasts an RDS Tuner makes the unit a perfect phone for music lovers. A micro USB connection help you to link the handset to your home PC, not only great for backing up the phone but also for transferring all manner of file types. Should you prefer no wires, then Bluetooth 2.1 is present and ideal for linking to devices such as headsets and in car entertainment systems. Internet connectivity see all the features you would expect of a top end phone present. Tghanks to 3G connectivity the phone works superbly whilst on the go. EDGE and GPRS are also available should you stray into an area with no 3G coverage. WiFI enables you to connect to a personal network to achieve the ultimate online experience.
HTC have produced yet another superb phone with the Desire Z. This handset really does rival the very best Android phones currently available, with a physical keypad and a great screen further adding to the phones appeal.
The HTC Desire Z and the LG A133 Red are available now:
