Toshiba Folio 100 Tablet Review

I finally just bought myself a new Toshiba Satellite laptop because my old Asus netbook was close to dying on me. I really like the new notebook PC. While shopping for it I came across the new Toshiba Folio tablet PC. It seems like a really cool device that should give the Apple iPad a lot of competition in the near future. I started looking for info and reviews of the Toshiba Folio 100 and here's one that I found:

Toshiba Folio 100 Tablet Review

To be released in time for the Christmas present buying frenzy, the Toshiba Folio 100 will be a perfect gift for those who want a Tablet computer for their gift. Toshiba have been working away quietly, trying to produce a superb Tablet that will be affordable to many and have a great operating system and be exactly what consumers want.

Toshiba have made their Folio 100 with a screen that dwarfs that of the Samsung Galaxy Tab and is even bigger than the Apple iPad. At 10.1 inches the screen size is ideal for watching widescreen films as it is big enough for their 16:9 dimensions.

The Toshiba Folio 100 is similar is thickness and weight to that of the Apple iPad and is very durable and robust.

The Folio 100 screen has pinch zoom capability like a lot of smart phones which makes surfing the web interactive and convenient. The Folio 100 Tablet will display all types of video files and Flash animations incredibly well and will be fast as it houses a dual core Tegra 2 processor which will make it a fast system.
In addition to all this the Folio 100 includes Androids newest operating system the FroYo, this will provide the Toshiba Folio with access to over a 100,000 apps that are for the Android phones.

There is an internal memory of 16GB which is really quite punchy and has an expected 7 hour battery life.
The version of the Folio 100 Tablet due to be released for the Christmas market will only have Wi-Fi but later models will have 3G included.

So, if you are looking to venture into the new Tablet market and want a device that makes it enjoyable to watch films and browse the internet then this could be the device for you. It's also seeming like it will go on sale for a lot less than the other tablets which may well make it a much more viable option for many more people.
